The Group of Seven (G7) organization is having the G7 summit 2019 on August 24-26 in Biarritz, France.
This year’s host, Emmanuel Macron chose the issue of reducing inequality as the main subject for the 2 days summit.
Attending, of course, the G7 leaders: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Macron has invited leaders of other countries to participate in the summit: Egypt, Australia, India, Chile, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Rwanda, and South Africa.
The summit objective is to exchange ideas on possible solutions to global economic crises.
By the end of the summit, a report is issued outlining what has been agreed upon.
President Al-Sisi will give a speech at the G7 Summit 2019 As the head of the African Union this year.
According to Egyptian presidential spokesperson, Bassam Radi Sisi will review in his speech the African vision for achieving peace and sustainable development, and for strengthening cooperation and partnership between Africa and the G7 countries.
adding that the president will hold several bilateral meetings with participating world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
on a side but related note, Egypt registered a boost in its exports of products to members of the Group of Seven (G7).
From January to June this year, these exports stand at USD3.8 billion.
Plus, there also was a flood in its imports from the G7 during the six months period.
It hit USD8.7 billion from last year’s USD8.5 billion.
