The world woke up today to hear about the story of a Saudi Arabian man who accidentally bought two Airbus A350 planes for his son’s birthday.

The story was shared by thousands of people including news sites and verified users.

Many news sites also shared the story like the Indian Times Now News and Middle East Monitor

The story originally posted on Thin Air Today claims that a Saudi Arabian father wanted to buy two plane models for his son’s birthday and ended up buying 2 Airbus A350-1000’s.

The man says that his lack of English made communication with Airbus when he called to order the models difficult.

“They asked so many questions about interior and exterior, I just thought they make very accurate scale models.”

What he thought were models were meant to cost him € 329 million which did not bother him.

“I got lost in currency conversions, I thought it was a bit expensive but still reasonable.”

The story continues to claim that the man paid with his American express and only months later he realized that it was real Airbus A350s.

After the story was suddenly shared by thousands today who seemed to believe it saying that “this only happens in the Middle East.”
